Hi, my name is Kayla and I am a first time horse owner. I have a wonderful Tenessee Walking Horse named Danny Boy. He is absolutely beautiful and I love him so much! I have owned him for about six years now and we have moved around quite a lot and have come so far. He was abused by one of his owners before we bought him so he was quite head-shy at first. But I worked with him and slowly he began to trust me. The woman who ran the farm we first boarded at was a horse trainer and I learned all I could from her. It was a great experience. We have barn hopped quite a few times since then and we are now at a wonderful barn called Taylormade. The facilities are gorgeous and the do everything from driving to cross-country, from trail riding to jumping. Danny and I are trail folk ourselves but we love to learn everything we can.
Now that school has started again it has been harder to get out to the barn. But I desire to be out there at least three times a week. I plan to post on this blog every saturday and document all my horse crazy experiences out there. Lord knows I've many stories to tell! My old blog - kkcorral - I did with my best friend but I plan to do this by myself with some guest appearances (;D) by my little sister who is also an accomplished rider. I will try to post some pictures soon! :)
